The Booth

We like to think we've got one up on the boxy cramped photobooth with the ShootBooth.   Here's a little bit about how it works:

Although it may look like an antique from the outside, inside it houses a professional-quality digital SLR camera and lighting setup.  Guests may enter from three different openings, the largest in the back, while the two sides will be ideal for people to stand outside the camera body who just want to get their head or arms in the shot.

Inside the roomy camera body, you'll find a big green button to trigger the camera shot. Wait for the audio countdown and get your pose ready.  To make sure you're showing your good side, a one-way mirror will give you a preview of what the shot will look like.  The camera is fixed on the other side of the mirror and captures your priceless pose so you don't have to stare into a probing camera lens.  This camera is out-of-sight and out-of-mind, so just act natural and have fun.

Step outside the booth to the camera on the side to review your picture.  Depending on what shoot you choose (see shoots page), you may be taking one or several photos.  The digital copy will be either given to the event host on a CD or printed by the end of the night.  Check out the gallery page for photos of prior events.  (Please note that some photos were not taken with the complete booth setup.)

The ShootBooth is meant to be fun and interactive by creating a unique environment inside the booth.  We consider the different "shoots" to be the signature of the ShootBooth (besides being 8-foot camera) and give an opportunity for "creative posing."  We believe that the photo-taking experience is directly effected by what a person sees right in front of them.  For us, that's why a simple fabric backdrop that you find in any old photobooth just won't cut it.
